Supporting running in the metro Richmond area

I just checked my mailbox and got notice one of my all time very, very favorite running shoes, ZOOT Ultra TT 2.0,
is about to be extinct! :(
And one of my other all time very, very favorite yellow color Saucony Kilkenny's they aren't making anymore, at least not in yellow, and I believe the updated version's build is slightly different. At least, it feels different to me when I wear it, that something has been changed.
These two shoes are incredible and truly make your feet so happy to run in.
I have to wonder, if a running shoe like the ZOOT Ultra TT 2.0 is awesome, why would it become discontinued? What determines this?
I couldn't believe it when I read the notice about it being "endangered"--to get a remaining pair now before they're gone forever. I love those shoes!

Pete, yes you're right......her soles are directionally challenged, but hey doesn't the soles of the feet get a command from the brain??? SO, her brain is directionally challenged too. This dudette is in very bad shape.

Everyone has different talents and strengths. I just happen to not be very strong in the navigation area:). Maybe if I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express that would help me find my way around:).

There's one located on Hull St. just south of Rt 288 and rooms are available right now. Go for it!!!

Think I need to find one closer to home. I may get lost trying to find the one on Hull Street:)

Usually means that the shoe is being updated, not always eliminated. So it could just be a slight change to a newer version of the same shoe you have been running in already. Some online retailers, esp Roadrunner Sports, use this as a tactic to boost sales and clear out inventory when shoes are changing.

Shoes are usually discontinued on sales performance, in US and global, so even though you may love the shoe not everyone always feels the same. Shoe feel can be very subjective, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Daniel,
Thank you so much--I appreciate this-- very interesting and informative!
And that is where I have been ordering my Zoots from the Roadrunner Sports.
I usually do not do on-line for shoes, but I got a brochure in the mail one day a while back and saw the Zoots, and that is the only place I have ever seen these. I don't believe they are sold in any of the stores locally, and I do love all the marvelous running stores in our area and appreciate all they do to support the running community and races.
Fortunately for me, the ones I wear even more, are the Zoots racer running shoes in sea-green, and those are still in stock! I hope those are never eliminated.
However, you are right, that a shoe that one person loves, maybe many other people don't, so they have to tweak or change or just get rid of it, or maybe
improve and change a version.
Thanks, Daniel, for the great information! Wishing you a fantastic day!
