Ah common on Doug, where's your since of adventure? Just kidding. You may need snow shoes to run from your house. I plan to run from home as well if I can. I may be too busy at work getting properties cleared.
Stay in touch about next weekend.

Sorry guys, I'm going to do my 17 miles starting from my front door this weekend. I don't feel like driving in the snow for 60 miles round trip....I'd rather run in it. Next week, I plan to do a 20-miler and will post more details next week. Have a Merry Christmas all!!

Hello All,

The next group run scheduled for Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 7:00 a.m. starting at Tredegar / Belle Isle parking lot. We'll go up the North Bank Trail, cross the river, hit the Forest Hill Loop, come back down to Belle Isle and then loop back around for about 17 miles total. Anyone is welcome to join the group and you can do more or less mileage if you feel like it. If you want to run, bring fuel and hydration because we aren't supported. Don't be shy, come on out and enjoy a couple of hours on the trails!

Drew,

Peter is well-versed on these trails so he'll be our guide on Saturday. He knows them all very well. I believe we'll do two loops so you can lead on the second one!!

I am looking forward to doing my long run with you guys. I've been alone on the trails the last couple of weeks and I am fine with that, but I am looking forward to running with others. It will take my mind off of my burning quads!! LOL

The good news is that it is virtually impossible to get lost when you're land locked by the city. You just keep running until you find your way out and then figure out where you are from there!!

Doug, looks good as long as you know where we are going. I have run on most of the trails around the river but it gets a little fuzzy on trails that lead away from the river like the Forest Hill Loop.

You lead, I'll follow.
