Traveling and Running

I was able to get in my run for today even though I am bouncing around Virginia for work. I added a few extra miles in for good luck along with some sprints. It felt great but I am nervous for the long run this weekend in training. I will be out of town again and have to miss running with the group and keeping up is a lot harder without company on the pavement. But I have been enjoying pushing my mileage. I never knew how easy it is to knock out 5 or 6 miles. But I can tell that exact spot where… Continue

12 miles....

After running the 6miles with the PP training team... I headed over and completed the Anthem Stride 10k walk. I totaled 12.2 miles this Saturday morning. I can feel that I am on my way to completing my first half marathon but I have a lot of conditioning ahead. But I am addicted to these races... I tried to sign up for the Stratford Hills 10K but was to late.. so I am volunteering! If your running let me know and I will personally cheer you on!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

I had a late start to this morning, waking up at 6:45am racing to meet the HMT team at 7am. I luckly made it and was able to get three miles in this morning. It was a great run but being from Seattle, I am having to get use to the sun and humidity. I am told I will adjust but MAN does that sun beat down on you! :D I have been really impressed by the running community in Richmond. It is accessible for all levels. I hope to volunteer for some races while I train for the Patrick Henry Half.

Carytown 10K

I just finished my second 10K here in Richmond. I loved the scenic route that this 10k took us on. Past many old historical houses and down Cary Street. I was the perfect weather except for the puddle that I stepped in around mile 5. I then started to notice every step I took because it felt like a heavy sponge. But it was great. I didn't train for this run like I wished I had but I am starting to train for a half marathon. Looking forward to my next race/run!

Hey Angie! I have fallen off the boat with my training! I have been trying to get my self back on track. I was unable to do any races this fall due to so much traveling. It looks like you're doing awesome! If you're up for a short and easy run, I'd love to get together with you sometime. But, you've been warned! I am out of shape! :)

I know it makes a big difference to have fun people to run with
on the long runs. I hope we can make this a regular thing. I
look forward to next Sat or Sun.
